Led byIci Japon, a key player in Japanese culture in France, the Odyssée Museum will open its doors in Bussy-Saint-Georges in 2028. This monumental project, located near Disneyland Paris, aims to become the ultimate destination for video game and pop culture enthusiasts.

Spanning 11,000 m², Odyssée will offer far more than just a museum: an immersive experience featuring a 3,000 m² interactive museum, a 2,450 m² gaming arena, an arcade area, a Japanese village, and a Japanese-themed food court. Built upon the world’s largest console collection owned by Ludovic Charles, this massive endeavor is expected to attract over a million visitors per year.
A Unique Project Designed by Passionate Experts
Behind this initiative are three major figures in retro gaming and pop culture: Benoît “Tev” Theveny, Benoît de Ruyter, and Ludovic Charles. The idea behind Odyssée is simple: to preserve and showcase the history of video games while celebrating pop culture through various immersive experiences.

With a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign raising €2.3 million, Odyssée has already sparked unprecedented enthusiasm. A Journey Through Video Game History
The Odyssée Museum will feature a 3,000 m² immersive museum, tracing the evolution of video games through their most iconic machines. More than 2,500 consoles will be on display, providing a unique perspective on this ever-evolving medium. The goal is to offer an interactive experience where visitors can not only observe but also play classic games on their original hardware.

A 2,450 m² Gaming Arena: Designed to host major esports competitions, this venue can also transform into a concert hall or convention space.

A Japanese-themed food court: An immersive culinary experience offering authentic dishes.

Strategically located near Disneyland Paris and connected by the RER A, the museum will be easily accessible to visitors worldwide. It is expected to create over 150 direct jobs and hundreds more indirectly, significantly contributing to local development.
An Anticipated Opening, with a Sneak Peek in 2025
While the official museum opening is set for 2028, the first exhibits will be available as early as late 2025 through temporary touring exhibitions. This will allow enthusiasts to explore some of Odyssée’s treasures even before the grand opening.
Additionally, the project is being developed across multiple formats, including a book titled “Odyssée Museum – The Largest Encyclopedia of Video Game Consoles,” already available from Omaké Books, and a mobile app that will enhance the museum experience.
